The Hertz Corporation Damage Appraisal Manager in Detroit, Michigan
We are looking for a Damage Appraisal Manager to work a flexible schedule that could include both afternoons and weekend shifts. Candidates would need to have the ability to review all damage documents including vehicle incident reports, vehicle damage appraisals and shop repair orders daily to insure complete and accurate information. Research vehicles listed on the damage report and enter information into the station report portal. Must monitor instant return reps for damage collection standard work. Insure damage vehicles are moved to the damage appraiser in a timely manner. Follow up with customers via telephone and email to insure claims for damage are processed.

Skills needed to be a Damage Appraisal Manager:
Must be 20 years of age
Must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Periodic MVR checks will be conducted if hired.
3-5 years of appraising experience
Strong management, communications, interpersonal relationship, customer service and problem solving skills
Strong planning and logistical skills
An Associate’s Degree required
Applicant must possess all auditory, speaking and communicating capabilities necessary to complete the responsibilities detailed above. The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: sitting, standing, walking, bending and twisting, climbing, driving, pushing and pulling, speaking, hearing, writing, lifting, typing, filing, seeing, reading and the ability to use a computer, telephone, calculator, copy machine and fax machine.
